At the end of November, the community of experts will come together at the W3+ FAIR Rheintal. It will be worth visiting the new Hightech Hub in the region of Lake Constance in more than just one way
This is maximum inspiration: When the W3+ FAIR Rheintal opens its doors in the exhibition quarters Dornbirn on November 30th, a premium Hightech Hub for gathering information and networking will be expecting the trade visitors. The advantage: The W3+ FAIR will take place at the same time as the TECH.CON fair. In addition, the photonics conference “Precision Photonic Systems ´22” of the Eastern Swiss University of Applied Science FH Ost will provide visitors with expert knowledge of the highest stage in the neighboring hall.

The W3+ FAIR promises interdisciplinary and transnational networking opportunities. For this purpose, the fair brings together exhibitors of key technologies centering around optics, photonics, electronics, and mechanics, such as SwissOptic, APM Technica, csem, the University of Applied Science Graubünden, nortus Optronic, Kyburz Sapphire, Photeon Technologies, OptoTech, RhySearch, Polytec, Trioptics, WZW Optic and many more. In the Innovation Area, Mark 3D and fischer innomation will inform visitors about the novelties in the 3D printing and automation sectors.
Top-class speakers have announced their participation in the free of charge accompanying conference en-tech.talks where they will give lectures on such topics as Optics Production, Research & Innovation in the Rhine Valley, Business Opportunities as well as Industry 4.0 and Digitization. Speakers from Swarotec, ePLAN, EOS, Switzerland Innovation Park Ost and many more are confirmed. What’s also exciting: Company Obrist will give a talk about their solution for the fuel of the future – aFuel and the HyperHybrid. More exclusive knowledge transfer will be provided in the EPIC TechWatch hosted by the European Photonics Industry Consortium. Here, speakers from Materion Optics Balzers, Diamond, Lumentum and others are scheduled. Jörg Brück feels certain: “At the turn of the year, this will be the high-tech highlight 2022 in the Rhine Valley!”
Workshop Photonics for Forestry and Timber Industry
In the afternoon of the first day of the fair (2:30 p.m.), the workshop “Photonics for Forestry and Timber Industry” organized by the Wetzlar Network will take place. Sounds exciting, because: optical, integrated and networked sensor technology offers interesting solution approaches for the detection and prevention of forest damage and for process and quality control. The aim of the workshop is to identify the need and to establish closer, cross-sector cooperation between the photonics industry and the forestry and timber industry.
