UHL

The product spectrum of the UHL company comprises microscope elements such as eyepieces and cameras as well as body tube, connecting and moving elements that are matched as a modular system to the needs of the individual customer. UHL also designs and produces special instruments for geometric measurement and microassembly of components to customer specification.

Besides mechanical and optical precision, software development also plays a major role in measurement microscopy, both for the visualization and the documentation of the measurement results. UHL designed the optical measurement software OMS specifically for two-dimensional measurement of prototypes and small runs with hand- or motor-operated measurement microscopes in measuring or production environments.

With a vertical range of manufacture of 90 per cent, UHL produces components using state-of-the-art CNC technology with 5-sided machining. Robotic systems enable up to 50 different parts to be processed at a time on a single machine. About 20 employees work in the R&D, production and administration departments of UHL.
